Thea Fino is a seasoned tax professional with close to 15 years’ experience across the tax, corporate, and legal fields, with a particular focus on cross-border and international taxation.

She advises corporate and individual clients on direct and indirect tax implications of business transactions, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and complex cross-border arrangements. Her work includes conducting tax due diligence and risk assessments, preparing technical tax opinions and legal submissions, and collaborating closely with legal and corporate teams to deliver integrated, commercially focused solutions. Since June 2025, she has worked alongside Juanita Brockdorff, gaining valuable exposure to complex and high-profile tax advisory mandates.

Previously, Thea held senior in-house roles within multinational groups, including as International Senior Tax Analyst at Illinois Tool Works Inc., where she was part of the group tax function and supported strategic tax planning initiatives across the United States and EMEA regions. In 2022, she spent three months with ITW’s tax team in Glenview, Illinois, further strengthening her experience in international tax planning and U.S. tax compliance. She also served as a Tax Analyst within the Ryanair Group, focusing on Malta and other EMEA jurisdictions.

Thea began her career at PwC Malta, where she progressed to Manager within the Tax and Legal Services practice and completed an assurance secondment in Rome.

She is ACCA-qualified and holds a Professional Certificate in Taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation.

She is fluent in English and Maltese and has a working knowledge of Italian.
